Dr. Amber Chanel Coleman (she/her/hers) is a creative, educator, and researcher based in Phoenix, AZ. Her praxis centers the lens of Black feminisms, critical pedagogical strategies, and arts-based research as she investigates underrecognized experiences and reimagines methods for engagement with the visual arts and education. She has served on the 2024 Adding Voices Conference Advisory Committee, supporting art educators and art professionals of color. She recently co-founded the African diasporic art collective, The Ubuntu Project, which co-curated the international virtual exhibition, Art Bridging Borders, in Spring 2024. She also co-curated the Getting to the Root exhibition with Jazmine Beatty (MAE), Olivia Richardson (MFA), and Tehan Ketema (MFA) at the Harry Wood Gallery at ASU in Spring 2025.
